business cards by tiny prints

I recently got to choose business cards from Tiny Prints.

This task was much harder than I anticipated. I was shocked, by the way. I'm a graphic designer and rarely like the pre-designed options I see at online printers. Typically, they have 2 or 3 designs that are cute -- which you then see at every conference because everyone has them! But with Tiny Prints, I could not decide! There were so many cute ones I loved!

I love the Timeless Floral in green!

But the Triple Ring is gorgeous too! I love the monogram!

Ooo- but the Natural Frame was so girly! (Appropriate, right?)


I finally decided on Fun Flourish:

The customization process is super easy. I was surprised - usually online printers I've used are difficult customize. Tiny Prints was simple - even when I wanted to add categories or change placements or fonts. I did wish for more fonts, but I confess to being obsessed with fonts. (What can I say? Its the graphic designer in me!)

This is the first time I've ordered from Tiny Prints and I will most certainly be back. I love their designs, the process is easy and every thing I've ever seen of theirs is such high quality. Somethings are worth a few extra pennies -- and I think Tiny Prints is one of them. They are so much more than business cards!

edy's fruit bars: bring on summer!

I've been doing a lot of research lately on our food and how its made and health implications.

It has not been fun.

But I'm trying to be reasonable and cut out only one thing at a time. Two things I've started cutting out of our diets are High Fructose Corn Syrup and food dyes. And if you've ever tired to do this, you realize that they are both everywhere.

One thing we thought we'd miss this summer are popsicles. Typical popsicles are only mainly frozen sugar water dyed unnaturally bright colors. (Blu-Razzberry, anyone?) But I was thrilled to discover that Edy's Fruit Bars have ZERO food dye and many have no corn syrup! (Not as thrilled as my kids, who are less than enthusiastic about Mommy's New Food Rules!)

We went to the store and the kids picked out Pomegranate flavor, since that is a favorite fruit in our house. Not only were they delicious and packed with antioxidants, but they have only 70 calories AND they have no high fructose corn syrup and they are colored with black currant concentrate and carrot Juice concentrate. (Some flavors do have corn syrup, but they still sweeten with sugar as well.)

I've always loved Edy's Fruit Bars, with the chunks of fruit and delicious, fresh flavor, but now I love them even more.

THIS is a treat I can feel great about giving my kids!!

K’NEX Mario Kart Wii™ Building Sets

I don't know if you're aware of this, but I am killer at MarioKart. Its a secret talent. My husband and I have MarioKart battles with my siblings online and they are pretty intense.

Of course, our kids love MarioKart as well! So they were thrilled when a box arrived from K'NEX containing a Mario and Standard Kart Building Set  and a Luigi and Standard Bike Building Set.

I believe the words when the package was opened were "SWEET!" and "AWESOME!"

The bike included a buildable, Luigi figure and K'NEX rods, connectors and bricks to build his Standard Bike, exactly like in the game. And the Kart includes a buildable Mario figure, a banana peel item, plus a pull-back motor and K'NEX pieces to build his standard kart. The package can be re-used as a ramp for even more after-building fun. So fun!

The kids built these easily by themselves (my kids are 8 and 6, and they built these without help) and they had fun zooming these around the house! Highly recommend!! The kids had a blast. My son hijacked them, though, and won't give them back to the girls. He loves the 'motocikle' and I even found it in his bed one morning. That's a hit, in my book!! My daughter's class is putting together a Wii basket for the Spring Fair and these would be perfect to throw in!!
