did you ever consider that the stomach bug is not coming from INSIDE of your house, but by some grubby little child who YOUR child goes to school with? Kindergarteners are GROSS!

i know. but i have to try!!!!!!

I hope that at least the girls are still flu-free this time around. Geesh!

I've done the clorox/lysol thing because pink eye invaded our house via Sunday School three times within a year. Every book. Every toy. Every everything. And I only have one child. You have a crown waiting for you for this!

I hope it works! We went through so much clorox and still kept getting sick.
I've threatened to boil everyone's hands when they get home from work or school...germs are awful.

[hug] That's all you can do. Hope it helps!

I hope that it helps! I can only imagine that you are at your wits end right now. I would be...

I taught for 30 years; never had the flu in my life, and never had a flu shot; have only a couple of colds a year. Now I volunteer doing taxes, which involves touching lots of papers of hacking, sick people who haven't learned to cover their mouths. (And unlike with my students, I don't feel it is proper to tell senior citizens and other adults to cover their mouths.) Here's what I learned from my mom who was a nurse, and it obviously has worked for me.
The following goes for EVERYONE, including Colin.
ALWAYS wash hands before touching any food. This includes putting food away from the store, preparing it, as well as before eating it.
Wash hands IMMEDIATELY after coming home, so germs from others outside the family can, hopefully, be eliminated. This goes double after being in contact with other kids or anyone with bug symptoms.
Don't even kiss the kids' hands or let Colin put his hands near anyone's mouth or nose or eyes unless those hands have just been washed. Touching playthings, etc. between washing and touching mucus membranes doesn't count; those hands have to be wash again before contact with mucus membranes.
And I'm sure you know the usual about public restrooms. Use the paper towel to shut off the water AND to open the door to leave the restroom.
Hope this helps.
