LOL!! this is why we have doors that don't lock!! :-)

Sounds like somebody is going to be losing their door soon. I am sure my kids would not have wanted to see me walking through their door either.

We went through that too when my daughter was 5! It quickly led to switching the door knob with one in the house that didn't lock. It's kind of shocking the first time it happens! :)

uh-oh. My daughter accidentally locked herself in a room about a year ago, and since we had just bought the house we had NO key to the door. It wasn't pretty. Thankfully in her frantic attempts to escape she unlocked the door.
I took the door handle off and have since replaced all of the knobs with non-lockable ones. She'll have to use some other trick to lock me out... :)

Oh wow - I bet the look on her face when you came through the door was priceless!

Just found your blog today, and I will definitely keep coming back. :)

Turn the knob around to the outside! That should teach 'em. Especially if You lock THEM in! no, not really...just kidding....sorta!

Um, I do believe she has an older cousin who once LOST her bedroom door for many weeks at a time for slamming it. I will never forget watching my dad walk down the stairs with it in his hand. And I was a teenager.
